ITP Portugal Touchdown in India

Alexandra Henriques from ITP Portugal travelled to India to attend several workshop sessions in cooperation with the Tourism Board of Portugal. Whilst in Mumbai Alexandra met up with ITP India YATRA Travel’s Croyden Pereira to discuss joint working opportunities. “It’s important to meet with the local ITP partner when visiting their country as it increases business interaction and forms stronger relationships”, said Alexandra. Meetings in Madrid

Last week I visited Madrid for a review meeting with our Spanish partner, Grupo Viajabien, and also attended the FITUR Exhibition to meet with some prospective partners. At the Exhibition it was a pleasure to meet with our colleague, Jean-Marie Behou, who is Chef d’Agence of our partner in Côte d’Ivoire. It was also a pleasant surprise to be introduced to Capital’s Directrice Générale, Mme. Nadine Bla, for the first time. Global business travel spend grew 5.8 percent in 2017, an improvement on recent years’ moderate numbers, according to Rockport Analytics’ annual GBTA BTI Outlook, put together on behalf of the Global Business Travel Association. Rockport expects to mark 2018 growth at an even higher 7.1 percent. “The two-year period spanning 2017 and 2018 is projected to be the strongest two-year period for business travel since the initial recovery from the Great Recession in 2010 and 2011,” according to the report. Rockport does, however, expect growth to moderate again from 2019 through 2022, as the global economy is late in its current economic cycle.
